As the fourth consecutive generation of German and Austrian imigrants that voyaged to the United States, Edward was raised along the Chesapeake Bay of Maryland and first traveled to Germany as a member of a summer foreign exchange program in 1988. He gradutated in 1995 from Towson University with honors from his undergraduate studies in psychology and business administration. After working in marketing strategy and being promoted into mergers and acquisitions with a series of corporate integration assignments, Edward began studying international finance at The George Washington University’s full-time MBA program where he graduated in 2002. His next move was from the colorful indian summers of the East Coast to the sunny beaches of Southern California where he managed international corporate finance projects by day and studied German at night.
Accepting an offer to work in Germany with the accounting firm KPMG, Edward went on to advise clients on a wide host of global corporate and private equity M&A transactions which led to him to accept an offer at Süd-Chemie where he worked as Director of Mergers and Acquisitions and then with the acquiring Swiss chemical company Clariant on continuing M&A projects. Edward went on to further intensly study German and found Monumental Exchange in Munich, the traditional and fast-growing cosmopolitan capital of the German state of Bavaria, to consult international organisations and expatriates on human and business integration strategies.
Edward’s management is characterized by others as: communicative, passionate and driven to make astute decisions.
